There are two categories of Award namely the COMPETITIVE and RECOGNITION AWARDS. 

RECOGNITION AWARDS:

This category honors pioneers in different space of industries, business & economy etc and is broken into three units thus:

9. Distinguished Personality - Philanthropy

10. Distinguished Personality - Trailblazer

11. Gospel Music Icon Award - Posthumous

12. Gospel Music Legend Award

13. Distinguished Achiever Award

14. Gospel Legend Award

15. Special Recognition Award

COMPETITIVE AWARDS:

Awards will be given to individual gospel artistes in the following categories: 

1. Most Outstanding Male Artiste of the year

Given to a male artiste whose music was able to cut across borders and genres to a wide acceptance and whose personality and actions were uncontroversial throughout the year in view

2. Most Outstanding Female Artiste of the year

Like her Male counterpart is expected to have not only had a very good song but a personality that inspire generations and actions uncontroversial

3. Most Outstanding Song of the year

Awarded to a gospel artiste with the most popular song of the year in view

4. Most outstanding Nigerian artiste in diaspora

Awarded to a Nigerian gospel artiste based outside the shores of Nigeria whose song was able to make waves and actions inspiring people in his/her country of residence and Nigeria

5. Most outstanding gospel Dj of the year

Awarded to the dj who throughout the year in view made impact playing strictly gospel music at events, radio or at parties and whose personality inspires a younger generation to take up the ministry.

6. Most Outstanding Choir of the year

Awarded to the choir attested to have good impact and impression on not only her home Church but to the body of Christ in general during the year in view

7. Most Outstanding New Artiste of the year [Rookie] Award

Given to an upcoming artiste whose song cut across genres to be accepted by all during the year in review

8. Most Outstanding Gospel Producer of the Year

Given to the Producer of the Best song of the year and whose body of work consistently received wide audience acceptance during the year in review

9. Most Outstanding Album Of The Year

Given to the artiste with the most widely accepted music album of the year in review

10. The Inspired Award

Given to a non-gospel artiste who did a gospel song that was widely accepted by the gospel community. This Award is meant to encourage secular artistes to do more of such songs which may eventually lead them to Christ.
