Nkiru St. Petersbell Jigo is a lawyer, a revivalist, an oil and gas consultant, and a preacher of the gospel of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Jigo who earned bachelor degrees in Theatre Arts and Law respectively, from the University of Benin, and City University, London, an MBA in Oil and Gas Management from the University of Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom, and has attended several executive programmes at Harvard Business School, is indeed a woman of substance.
The MBA degree is a specialized course at the Centre for Energy Petroleum, Mineral Law and Policy at the Carnegie Centre at the University of Dundee, Scotland.
Petersbell is also the director of Procurement and Corporate Services at Aiteo Eastern Exploration and Production Co. Limited, a Nigerian indigenous petroleum exploration and production company that recently acquired SHELL's 45% interest in the Oil Mining Lease 29 (OML 29) and the Nembe Creek Trunk Line (NCTL- a 97km oil pipeline running across the Nembe Kingdom to the Bonny Terminal).
Interestingly, her heart and passion for the betterment of humanity drove her to set up The St. PetersBell Jigo Foundation, also known as “Light In The Dark Place”, a non-profit organization set up for the purpose of restoring good sight to challenged eyes and minds.
Through the foundation, she engages in re-orientation knowledge/skills acquisition programs for socially misguided youths and young adults. Her zeal and determination for the eradication of blindness and poor vision, which is a major challenge of many people around the world also made her set-up programs and projects in that regard as her contribution in giving back to society.
PetersBell Jigo is multifaceted, and her profile can be summarized in one sentence:
“Author of books, director of procurement and corporate services at Aiteo Eastern Exploration and Production Company Limited, Vice President/principal vision carrier, Mt. Moriah Prayer Gathering (MMPG), member of the board of four charity organizations, namely St. PetersBell Jigo Foundation, the St. PetersBell Centre for Law and Justice, the F.B. Peters Fund Foundation and the Aiteo Foundation, where she is an executive director”. She is happily married and a mother.
