Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is the president of Loveworld Inc. and a televangelist, preacher, author, philanthropist, and member of the Christian clergy. He is well-known throughout the world for being the founder of the megachurch Christ Embassy and the author of Rhapsody of Realities, the most widely distributed daily devotional in the entire world. He is also renowned for planning significant crusades that drew over 3.5 million people in a single night. Thousands of sick people from over 70 different nations occasionally travel to his healing school, which is held intermittently each year in Nigeria and South Africa.
While Chris Oyakhilome was a student at Ambrose Alli University, his ministry started to take shape. He started Youth For Christ as a young man, and it grew to be the biggest fellowship at the university. Chris Oyakhilome described how the Vice Chancellor of the time attended his service while he was on campus during one of his services. Later, he changed the name of the student fellowship to Believers Loveworld, which later expanded to other Nigerian higher education institutions under the abbreviation BLW. After earning his degree in 1987, he established a church in Benin City before moving to Lagos in 1989, where he finished building Christ Embassy.
BLW Campus Fellowships and Christ Embassy Churches can be found now in universities and large cities all over the world. He is responsible for developing the music ministry of some of the 5 star gospel music artistes in Nigeria through the Loveworld Music Ministry that has produced internationally acclaimed gospel artistes such as Sinach and Frank Edward amongst others.
