Amaka Okwuoha, also known as Chioma Jesus, is a gospel musician and singer from Nigeria. She gained notoriety after her 2003 hit song "Chioma" was released.
She acknowledged that she obtained the moniker "Chioma Jesus" from the song "Chioma" and chose to add Jesus to it in an interview with Punch newspaper. Her first album also has that name.
She began singing in the church choir when she was nine years old, which served as the foundation for her music career. Later, she rose to prominence in her church's Scripture Union Fellowship as both a soloist and a chorus leader. Despite having written her debut song in Yoruba, she primarily writes in Igbo and occasionally in English.
